Cepea, September 16, 2025 – Cotton prices moved down in early September, due to the progress of both the harvesting and processing activities of the 2024/25 season, which boosts the availability of batches, and to the fact that sellers are more flexible about quotations. Decreases of dollar values and abroad also reinforce the downward trend in the domestic market.
Due to constant price drops, many sellers were away from closing trades in the spot market, preferring to accomplish term contracts (which were closed at more attractive values compared to current ones)
