The 50% tariff on Brazilian fresh fruits exported to the United States, in effect since August 6, 2025, is one of the greatest tests of resilience ever faced by the national sector. This increase results from the combination of a 40% tax announced in July with the 10% tariff already applied, pressing significantly the sector’s competitiveness.
